Buster joined The Epics when they expanded from the combo group and added horns in 1965. In addition to trumpet he sings many of the backup vocal parts. During The Epics 30+ year sabbatical (1970 – 2000), Buster continued to perform as a member of Justice , Celebration, and Spice. A graduate of Dreher High School and The University of South Carolina, Buster is married to Sharon Phillips, a graduate of Eau Claire High School. He is Director of Information Technology for Carolina Care Plan in Columbia. When he is not playing with the band or working, he enjoys the lake, the beach, and Gamecock sports (GO COCKS!). |
