The sound of Jimmy’s Baritone Saxophone adds so much to the overall sound of the band.  He was the original Bass Player when the band was formed in 1963.  When horns were added in 1965, he began playing Alto and Baritone Saxophone, but now plays Baritone and occasionally flute and soprano saxophone.  His favorite musical group is Tower of Power and especially their horn section.

Jimmy is a graduate of Dreher High School in Columbia, SC and resides in West Columbia with his wife Susan.  They share six, yours and mine, children and four grandchildren.  Jimmy retired with twenty years in criminal investigations and is currently a Program Director for The Cooperative Ministry.

When he’s not working or playing Beach Music, he enjoys singing with a Men’s Southern Gospel Quartet at his church, boating and attending USC Gamecock football and basketball games.
